Sober living

During my stay in the U.S., I had many experiences with friends from different countries. I encountered different cultures and new values, which greatly expanded my possibilities. I realized that it does not matter if you are not confident in your English, it is important to challenge yourself a lot. Everyone welcomed me like family.

I'd like to thank you for allowing me to stay in your home and for your hospitality. I'm sad that I have to go back home and leave behind a part of my life, which all of you are now a part of. I won't ever forget you, and I hope you don't forget me. I will love you forever Sadie and Soren and I don't want it to be tomorrow so that I don't have to say goodbye.

In 2014 I spent 3 month with Michelle and her family. I really loved my stay in the United States. All of the Winkhart Family were very open and friendly and have welcomed me in a very warm way. I felt very comfortable from the beginning. Michelle showed me a lot of the surrounding area. She really wants you to experience the American culture and the diverse landscapes. I am still in touch with her and the rest of the family and I am looking forward seeing her and the high dessert again!

First of all, I just would like to say me and all of the students had sooooo much fun and amazing experiences of the American life!! It has been 5 years since I had visited there, yet it has still been most excited and beautiful memories of my life. All of the family members are so nice, fun and warmhearted! While I have been there, I felt like I’m home. I tried many activities : once I have spend the Christmas week, made a candy house and enjoyed American traditional Christmas meal. In the Easter season, we tried to color Easter eggs. We had tasty BBQ in the summer. In all seasons, I had unforgettable experience. If anyone looking for host family in the US, here this is the best choice! I am sure that it will be the one of the best experience for you.They are best host family in the all over the world! I appreciate so much what they have done for me and all students. I hope I can come back soon! I miss everyone so much!!!

Thank you for taking care of all the students. Thanks of you, we do everything in America. And thank you for taking to school. We could enjoy school life. I was very exciting to go shopping and talking with you.  I like your hug very much! I like America very much. I want to go to here in my future. I wish I can meet you again.

Michelle's passion for sharing the Japanese culture with her community is contagious! She admires and truly cares for the students, their chaperones and their host families. Our family is always open to hosting through Michelle. The activities for both the students and our family were warm-hearted with a true cultural exchange.

It was my first time in America, so I was worried, but the host welcomed me warmly and it was a fun homestay. We drove to children's karate classes, shopping centers, restaurants, resorts, etc. It was an unforgettable time to experience the daily life, culture, people and language of America. I was able to speak English smoothly because the host was able to talk warmly with the children and the host took care of me. My best memory is horseback riding at a relative's house. It was like a western movie, and it became a very pleasant memory. I look forward to seeing you again. Thank you my host family.

I really enjoyed my stay in the US at Michelle’s house. Her family is really lovely and nice. I worked there as a volunteer at the kids camp and in the kindergarten. Michelle organized everything so well. In my free time we did a lot of activities. I really can recommend Michelle as coordinator as well as a host.

Thank you very much for everything you have done for us….Sadie and Soren are such sweet kids, I feel happy when you come to me. Michelle, I really appreciate for your hard working. I will never forget this wonderful experience in America.
