30 Years of Student Exchange

Michelle Winkhart founded H2H Exhange in 2000.

Exchange students have always been a big part of Michelle’s life. Here are some fun pictures of her growing up with exchange students. You can truly create relationships all over the world that last a life time! Her dream for H2H is to help bring the world together for others so they can also create those relationships.

Ikigai is a Japanese concept referring to something that gives a person a sense of purpose, a reason for living.

Heart to Home (H2H) was established to bring the world together in a way that builds our communities/families and inspires people to explore the world. We hope to inspire communities, introduce different cultures, open minds and expand hearts around the world.

Heart to Home has years of experience in the exchange student community. We formed H2H to offer quality programs for international homestay experiences. We believe homestay programs are an amazing way to bring the world together, experience different cultures and build lasting relationships around the world.

“A smile is the same in every language. We all have different inspirations, but one goal: A better world”

Lifelong Friendship

I met Michelle when I was in Sultana high school as an exchange student. I was taking a freshman English class and she was there. She was always very kind to me.

More than 20 years has passed and she is still my special friend. She came to my country Japan and we went to sushi place and more, I visited her with my husband and children stayed at her house for a while.

Our kids spent very special time together then. My English is not good enough to explain how I feel happy to have a friend like her. She always makes me feel this world very nice and familiar to me.

Thanks Michelle!
I love you ♥️

Over 25 years ago, I spent 2 weeks with my host family. I had such precious times; I was able to experience local life, cultures, perspectives, and living English as a member of the family. I remember learning a new expression “character” to describe my host sister (Michelle). She is a character;-). I believe the whole experience has so much influence in my life.
